When coming to a stop and the brakes are applied hard, reliably. The car has no codes. Restarts immediately. The car had code cleared before it was brought to us, I can see in history. Any ideas on where to check?
We replaced the alternator it was charging low (13.2) did not fix issue.
We also cleaned throttle body and did relearn it was dirty but no difference.
Car idles at 600 RPMs once warm.

Hi,
Are you able to access the code via history? Also, any issues with vacuum leaks? Does this only happen when stopping abruptly? Is there any indication that the torque converter isn't releasing quickly enough?
Let me know.
Joe

So, for anyone else experiencing this, it wound up being low on engine oil, apparently the engines burn oil and when running low, the oil sloshes forward and shuts off the engine. I noticed the oil pressure light flicker when it stalled, checked oil, and wasn’t even on stick. No other codes, ran fine otherwise: it was approximately 2.5 quarts low.

Hi,
Thanks for the update. I didn't realize the light was flickering. Regardless, I'm glad it was an easy repair and you got it taken care of.
Take care of yourself and feel free to come back anytime in the future.

I didn’t realize it was happening either, it literally did it a split second before it stalled, otherwise it was off. If you weren’t watching, you wouldn’t catch it! Lol
