2003 Saturn Vue Creaking on turns

Hi. Lately on turns - especially right turns I hear a creaking noise - it happens when I back up turning the wheel - on right and left turns. I can hear and feel it too. What could be the problem and what will it cost to have fixed - this car isn't driven much - weekends only and mostly highway- what could it be?

The only thing I came up with is Saturn replaced the sway bar links on the front with different parts. Squeaking was the problem. Creaking means lack of grease in a ball joint, with 35,000, I find that hard to belive! Akso check for any oil leaking from the struts. Part numbers for the new links are 15141759 and 15141760
