i have basic mechanic skills and was wondering how involved is changing a blower motor. should i have it done at a garage or could i do it myself.

It is certainly something you can tackle your self provided that you are somewhat flexible and have patients to work on it ( your in a very small space so its annoying ) but it is very doable , I suggest getting a Haynes or Chilton manual for the vehicle that's going to be your best resource, they are available at every major auto parts store for a small price, it will not only provide step-by-step instructions but if your a visual type like me, they also have pictures of what you will be doing at the same time .
