After using my key fob remote to disengage door locks the security system would not turn off. The fuel pump became inoperable, the battery (18 months old) completely drained and even the key fob became inoperable. The car was towed, battery was charged(4 hrs), key fob battery replaced and security was finally turned off after the reset/reboot was completed. The Air Bag light came on upon starting the car. Car was turned off, diagnostic machine plugged in and light was turned off. Battery had to be jumped to start car. Drove home approximately 80 miles, replaced battery and Air Bag light came on again. While starting the car and until the seat belt is fastened the Air Bag light flashes. Once the Seat Belt light goes out the Air Bag light remains steady. Is there a procedure to reset the Air Bag light or should I brace myself for a repair bill in the very near future?

Sounds like something is wrong in the system if the light keeps coming on. Did they happen to tell you the code when they scanned it?
