Engine Cooling problem
2001 Saturn SL2 4 cyl

I have a crack in this engine part and don't know what it is called. Need help. Coolant hose hooks to cracked part and coolant overflow I fixed with brake line and quiksteel temporary. First of all thank you so much for your donation.That would be your intake manifold.I would recommend getting a used one the new one's are going to be pricey.

Thanks. Now thats what I am being told that it is the intake manifold. Called a junk yard, they sent me a picture of a SOHC manifold but it did not look like the same part at all. Would this be a DOHC part? Vin number had a 7 in the code. We are told that makes it a SOHC. Once I see the exact part I will be fine, but no answers so far that match together.

Vin 7 is a dohc vin 8 is a sohc you have the dohc the single is totally different it's made out of metal and yours is plastic.Make sure you get a new intake gasket to go with your used intake.A 2000-2002 dohc intake will work on your car.

Hi I have a 2002 Saturn sl2 the pipe on the pic broke also to change it do I have to replace the hole back piece???
