I have been going through a quart of oil every 2-3 weeks. I went to change plugs and wires yesterday, and when I pulled the plug wires I saw oil all over the ens. When I dropped the socket in to pull the plugs, there was about half an inch of oil on the socket when I pulled it out. It appears that the top of the motor is leaking, and the oil is sitting beteen the valve covers (looks like one piece) Do you think it is the valve cover gasket and would this be easy to change? I am not a mechanic, but I am pretty competant mechanically.

Yes your valve cover gasket is leaking into the spark plug well's.But that's not causing your oil loss if you want to replace the gasket there like 20 the most important thing is to make sure that you put the silicone sealer in the right place so the new gasket doesn't leak.
