My engine light came on so I took it in and the diagnostic machine said "check EGR valve". So I spent $118 dollars on a new valve and had my mechanic put it in for me. My engine light is still on so I took it back and had the machine hooked up again and they said that the EGR valve popped up again as well as a secondary air intake malfunction. What is that? And What do I need to fix it? Where is it located in the engine? I'm getting rather frusterated and would rather not buy parts that I don't need and waste money. Thanks!

Here's the problem I dont know which codes those would be. For egr codes u have p0401, p0404, p0405, and p1404 a few choices there u could even have more then one egr code. Why dont u do this go have ur codes read again and write down all the code numbers for me. This isnt going to be a simple I know what it is I need the codes so I can lead u in the right direction and u will have do some testing. Do u have a multimeter?Iam not trying to be hard on u just trying to get u to understand why iam asking for the code numbers. Iam here to help so please help me help u. Let me know what u find.
