This is my first car and I know it's 15 years old, but I'm only getting about 14 miles to the gallon in it, what could be wrong? The dealer said that it was winterized, (I live in Minnesota). But what else may be wrong? This is my first car.

First make sure the tune up is in good order. Then be sure tire pressures are correct. Incorrect tire pressure is a common reason for loss of mileage. Some tires are also rated to a higher psi, be sure to read the sidewall to see what the manufacturer suggests. You could possibly be due for a new oxygen sensor as well, I have seen them cause mileage drops before. Driving habit is another biggie, accelerate slowly and use light pressure on the gas pedal, this will help out
