1996 Saturn SL1 Clearing engine codes

1996 Saturn SL1 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

We got a p0404 when tested. We cleaned the egr valve and tried to re install it. It is not working and it may b bc of the coeds. We are trying to clear the engine codes on my saturn. How do we do that?

If u don't live in California u can go to autozone and have them clear it for u or another auto parts store. How did u get the codes out to start with?Use that scan tool to clear them. Let me know how it goes.
