2000 Saturn SC2 burning oil

My car burns oil reallly bad and there is no oil on the engine block and never any on the ground from while been parked and I was told that I needed to change the head gasket and I was just wanted to know if this was the right thing to start off with fixing?

Hi there, I would be thinking you need re running, but if you get a leak down test done this will give us a better indication as to haw sound the bottom mend is, start here.
