1996 Saturn SC2 power steering pump grinding in gear

The power steering pump sounds like it is grinding while in drive or reverse. No leaking, fluid is fine.

Does the pump sound like it's grinding when it's in park?It shouldn't make a difference if it's in gear if it grind's or not.The power steering and the transmission are not link together.
