1996 Saturn SC2 gear shifter floppy

My gear shifter is floppy. There is a rubber gasket that has rotted over time and finally popped. It connected the actual shifter to the transmission cables.
Where can I buy a new rubber gasket? Someone told me I'll have to replace the entire gear shifter assembly. Where could I get one of those?
Sorry for all the questions. I've looked everywhere online and cant find anything.

Tony,
If you still have not resolved the issue, see my post on page one called totaly loose shifter.
It very well could be the issue as it is a common problem with saturns
