1995 Saturn SC1 Manual 147K miles

Two days ago my car wouldn't start. I thought nothing of it, assumed I left something on, and jumped it. It drove home just fine, and when I went to leave a couple of hours later it wouldn't start again. I replaced the battery and it started up reluctantly. I let it run in neutral for about 5 minutes, and then tried to take it out for a test drive. After I knocked down the e-brake, pressed the clutch and brake, it died. It wouldn't start back up either. When the key is in the ignition and the door is open, it dings like normally, and my dome lights work. When I try to turn it it doesn't even attempt to start. No lights or anything. Is this a bad alternator?

It sounds like a bad alternator make sure the battery cables are clean and tight. Do you have a multimeter?Let me know.

There was some corrosion from the old battery, but I cleaned everything out. Everything is hooked up perfectly. I do not have a multimeter though.

You can probably rent a multimeter from autozone for free if you get a multimeter then you can jump start the car and I'll help you check the alternator. Let me know if you get a multimeter.
