Recently started having over heating problems and had the engine fan changed the old one was defective and had cause the car to over heat had the thermostat changed it stilll wants to run hot. Since then the car has started clunking into 2nd and 3rd gear hard and has been over revving when going up hills and when not changing into gear could this be my clutch bands may be shot or my clutch packs. When it over revs it doesnt red line it just over revs to 4000-5000 rpm and loses power. This is my transportation to work so would be nice to know what I should do with out throwing alot of money for something I dont need. The over revving is causing it to over hear and is scary to drive

Does your cooling fan turn on at about 3/4 on the temp gauge? If not what temp does the fan come on at?Do you have any code's in the computer? So does it only shift hard from 2nd to 3rd and no other gear's?

It clunks into 2nd n 3rd roughly quite oftenly now and seems to over heat quickly and it starts at around 1/2 and I dont know what temp the fan kicks in but I think the temp sensor is defective because I had the thermostat changed and it still over heats and I had a new engine fan put in as for the over revving it seems to over rev before climbing hills then over revs and looses power and doesnt allow any more acceleration could this be defective clutch bands or clutch packs or should I get the tranny flushed and filter changed and get an oil changed on it and see if it still acts up like I said I dont wanna go throwing money around

The tranny doesnt seem to want to kick into gear smoothly and when it doesnt connect to the 2nd or 3rd gear properly it wants to over rev and loose power

You say it start's overheating at 1/2 on the temp gauge that is only like 200 degree's the fan come's on at 222-226 degree's at about 3/4 on the gauge. So at about 1/2 on the gauge does the coolant start boiling over the coolant bottle? Is that why you think it's overheating? If so then you probably have a bad cap that won't hold pressure try changing it. What color is your transmission fluid? It should be bright red changing it won't fix your problem. So do you have any code's?

No I dont have any codes where would I get proper codes the mechanix that want to service it said I should get it flushed and everything but the fluid is still redish but had bubbles in it which means there is a pressure loss some where should I just get it looked at and diagnosed and put codes in? What codes would I use

Ok I havent taken it in to get trouble shooted but how do I get these diagrams off this site I cant get them in regular size? The car over heats quickly and looses power and over revs when it gets hot should I changed the temp sensor aswell so my engine fan actually kicks in it seems like it doesnt kick in at all could this be a problem with the PCM? If you could tell me how to get this diagrams off here it would be awesome. But like I said it seems to lightly clunk into 2nd and clunks hard into 3rd and looses power and revs at high rpm and sometimes doesnt kick into gear at all

I dont why it wants to clunk into gear aswell over rev when going up hill occasionally could this be a problem with pressure in the tranny or could one of my clutch packs or clutch bands be worn out or destroyed

I emailed you the info I posted the website we use to get that info is a pay site that all the moderator's on this site use. Which sensor did you replace the top or bottom one?Was the connector going to it corroded? Also how hot does it get when it over heat's?The fan doesn't come on in that car till 3/4 or sometimes the tip of the red. Let's start with what code's you have before we start guessing what is wrong with your car. We still over thing's to check before we know what's going on with your car.
