95 Saturn trouble codes

My daughters car a 95 saturn s1 twin cam 4cyl. Auto came through with 3 codes, #1 engine code 26 quad driver output fault, what is involved with repairing it? And the transaxle codes of #49 and #65 can't find thoughs or what is involved in repairing them. Trans was rebuilt about 2 years ago (maybe 15-18,000miles) and the engine is new about 12,000.

U need a mechanic with scan tool experience and a scanner either factory or factory compatible to do bi directional test on the quad driver code. It is a computer driver code. Fix engine 1st b4 tranny

Thanks Kin, I was sorta afraid of that. The generic codes I had listed about 3-4 different things including EGR, speed sensor, and a map sensor I think. Unfortunately I have a good scanner Autoxray 400 but it wont do the OBD1's so I have to rely on my $20 reader. I guess it's off to the shop I/they deal with. Thanks and I'm still open for other comments!
