The lil car just quit running and my mechanic says it needs a PCM and that he can't fix it because the unit has to be flashed by a Saturn mechanic. Do I have any options myself for this repair? I can put the unit in but don't know if it is possible for me to be able to flash it? Any help would be greatly appreicated.

Thanks
Mike

If in fact the PCM is no good and need a new one
it has to be done at a dealer as they have to enter the car info into the new PCM after installing it
or you want be able to start the car

before replacing PCM carefully inspect all wiring and control components
short circuits may result in PCM failure
check also fuses

When replacing the PCM remove the knock sensor module from old PCM because u need to install it in the new PCM

get another opinion !
