2000 Other Saturn Models Speedometer / Check Engine Light

Saturn LS2 V6 automatic. My Speedometer quit working (reads zero) at any speed, and check engine light is ON. Transmission still shifts fine, but I don't know what speed I am traveling. Closest Saturn dealer is 40 miles away. Does this sound like a Speed Sensor problem or instrument cluster speedometer problem. Thanks for your help.

Hi 2000saturn,

Should be the speed sensor. If meter is malfunctioning, the Check engine light would not show, unless there are more faults than.

If you have any local Autozone outlets, get a free scan from them.
