1997 Other Saturn Models valve cover gasket replacement

Is it hard to replace the valve cover Gasket. And is thier something special that I need to know

Hi bvogeler,

Valve gaskets are easy to replace but removal of the old gasket from the valve cover might be tricky depending of the condition. It hardens and sometimes sticks as if fused to the cover and is difficult to remove.

Tightening should be evenly crossed sequence and if there are any corners at cam sprocket and end, a little amount of sealants should be applied to prevent leakages.
