AT CURB IDLE THE TACH SHOW BETWEEN 1,000 AND 1,170 RPM. AT FREEWAY SPEED (55MPH) THE TACH IS AT 2,200 RPM. MILEAGE FOR A STRIGHT 55MPH IS BETWEEN 40 & 45MGP.
WHAT SHOULD BE;
CURB IDLE=
RPM @ 55MPH=
AND "IF" IT SHOULD BE LOWER AT EITHER/OR BOTH POINTS, WHAT CAN BE THE THINGS TO LOOK FOR.
THE MAINTANCE IS ALWAYS AT 2,500 MILES FOR OIL CHANGES AND ALL OTHER COMPONETS ARE ALWAYS BEING CHECKED.

Check your idle air control valve and throttle position sensor. See below
