My cooling fan is not engaging. I replaced the coolant temp sensor, the relay, and pulled the fan, hooked it up to the battery and it turns on. I guess there must be a bad ground wire in there somewhere. Can I just run a direct ground from the fan to the engine and see if that solves the problem, or would this effect other electrical systems?

My 92/93 was doing the same thing, the cooing fan was not engaging. Is yours overheating? And have a Service Engine light on? Mine was they could not figure why it was not engaging at the shop. They did a electoral and mechanic dionasage on my car and could not find what was wrong on it. It was throwing codes and they could not erase them. I changed the relays to didn't fix it. The codes were for the operation of the cooling fan cooling system and the A/c and they all don't work. So what im trying to say is you might have electctrical problem. What I did was in the fuse relay I hot leaded the relay with one wire u prower the fan, Guaranteed the fan was on so you dont over heat. Or if your in a state that u dont have to get smogged run a toggo swich. I live in cali. I hope it helps u.
