how maney hours does it take for a mechanic to replace a water pump and timing belt. Can a mechanic charge any price for labor?

Hello,

The job will take about 6 - 7 hours. And a lot of that will depend on how difficult thing are coming apart.

All Garages have a set Hourly Labor Rate which can be anywere from $65 - $90 depending on were you live.

The job pays a technician about 4 hours. A good Technician should be able to knock it out in about 2.5 hours
