Kind of knocking noise coming from steering when turning either side. What are the possibilities that causing noises (steering fluid is ok)

If the noise pops while turning left or right like three or four times each direction and the noise is comming from the base of the steering column its the intermidate shaft that connects the the steering column to the rack and pion pretty common for that car. Saturn makes a greese kit that comes with a greese tube and plug to repack it with greese to tighten it up and make the noise go away. Let me know how it goes.
