I have a 2005 Saturn ION2 2.2L 4cyl with 30,000 miles. The Security indicator lights up steady while driving but after turning off the engine completely and then start again a minute later, car starts and light goes away. At times the car would not start at all after stopping at the store for about an hour. No start engine sound, nothing at all. The security light is blinking or at times steady and won't start at all. Wait about 15 minutes later (after trying and trying to start lots of times), it will start again and no light. This happens intermittently at any given day every week for the past 2 months. Is the Security system bad or not working?

If you go to a shop where they have a scanner that can read your body control module code's and you have a code b2960 and or b3033 then you need to replace the ignition switch really common problem for that car. The ignition switch has the passlock sensor it and they fail and cause the starting concern and set code's. They redesigned the ignition switch like 3 or 4 time's for that problem. The switch is really easy to change also.
