2003 Saturn Ion starting in cold weather

Why is the car so hard to start in cold weather. Sometimes it won't start at all. I live in Atlanta Ga!

Have the battery and alternator tested first if that all checks out good also have the body control module scanned for codes u will need a advanced scanner to do that not just a cheap engine code reader if u have a code b2960 and or a b3033 then u need to replace the ignition switch there cheap and easy to change. Let me know what u find.
