I have a 96 saab 900 se with 147,000 miles and as I was pulling out of my driveway the car completely shut off so I figured it might need a new battery so I replaced the battery and it still shuts off now it only does it when im turning or when im stopped what should I do?

I have 2 of these Saab's. (98-900S & 96-900SE Convertables)
This one is pretty broad in what if's.

>I have a 96 saab 900 se with 147,000 miles and as I >was pulling out of my driveway the car completely >shut off"

Did it "Sputter" then die or just die?
Could still be Electrical, Fuel System or?

>I figured it might need a new battery so I replaced >the battery and it still shuts off

The only way this would be Battery related is if your Alternator was dead too. Well, there could be a short causing battery/Alternator drain, but this does not sound like that.

>now it only does it when im turning or when im >stopped what should I do?

OK, I will take it that your engine is halting when you slow down (go below a certain RPM), Yes?
Is it Sputtering or misfiring?

Unfortunately, it still could be too many things. If this came on suddenly the likely senerios are fuel system or ignition system.
Water in your gas
Injector issues (Mine fouled from bad gas)
Fuel Pump (probably not, but possible)
Spark plugs are fouled/burnt out (just replaced mine)
Spark Plug Wires bad/dirty/damaged (ditto)
Coil needs replacing (again unlikely, typically it either works or not)
