2000 Saab 9-3 repair Question 160000 miles

What is preventing my car from starting?(SAAB MODEL 93. YEAR 2000) Happens randomly when I attempt to start. No click, no churn, but the lights (including those on the dashboard) work fine as does the radio. After waiting an hour or two hours, the car will start. Any ideas?. Thanks!
