Is 3,400 RPM's normal at 80 mph

I was test driving this car and want to know if 3,400 rpm is normal at 80 mph? Not used to four speed automatic transmissions and just wanted to know if that sounds about right or if there is a shifting problem.

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.

That sounds normal. Just make sure there are no engine or other lights on, the transmission shifts smoothly, and it has been inspected. I always recommend having a car checked by a technician before buying it. That is no guarantee everything is perfect, but at least a good tech can spot typical problems.
