This sounds like the switch is going bad. Switches have contacts in them and over time the contacts in these switches wear out. When they do they will not make proper contact to close the circuit and send the electricity to wear it needs to go. When this happens, the switch needs to be replaced.I have included the directions for OEM testing, removal and installation, as well as reprogramming instructions in the diagrams down below.
