Okay, I bought the truck listed above XL model, five speed manual with manual locks and windows from a buddy. It was his moms truck she passed away. The truck quit running her boy friend said it needed a new PCM. And the keys were also misplaced. when I actually got the truck the PCM was also completely missing.

So I ordered a new PCM programmed to the VIN and a new ignition lock cylinder with transponder keys. I called the local lock smith they want to charge $200.00 just to program the keys. No guarantee that they can actually do it since the PCM and the ignition lock cylinder have both been replaced. Oh and no refund if they can't program the keys.

So with that being said I don't want to risk the $200.00.
I haven't checked with the dealership yet. I imagine the price will probably be about the same. but don't want to deal with the none sense they will try and feed me saying they can't do anything because the parts are not OEM and try to make me re-buy the parts from them.

So what all options do I have?

Is there a D.I.Y without a special Scanner? the scanner I have want allow me to access the PATS system.

Hello, I'm Danny.

So if I'm understanding this right your truck was missing the PCM and keys. You then purchased a new PCM and ignition keys , Installed both PCM and ignition switch and now are concerning with a $200.00 charge to sync the new ignition switch to the vehicle? Let me know. Thanks for using 2CarPros.
