It appears that the steering shaft has to be removed to get the starter out. Is there another way?

It appears that removing the steering shaft is not necessary for removing the starter. I have included for you the factory guides for both removal and instalation in the diagrams down below. Please go through them and let us how it turns out. Please, if we can help in any other way, don't hesitate to ask.

Hello and thanks for using 2CarPros. I've looked up the job on Alldata and it shows that the intermediate steering shaft has to be removed.
