Hello,

To get the rear seats out you will have to remove few bolts. You will have to pull in a certain way to get the seat cushion out.

I have attached the rear seat removal for both the seat back and seat cushion.

Please let me know of any questions.
Thank you.

I am at 7+ days since car was flooded, about foot and a half. Have been drying out inside with towels fans and arm and hammer. Have a dehumidifier on order. Have not tried to start. As previously mentioned battery okay. Dash sites up/windows work. I accidentally discharged battery leaving trunk lid partially opened/light. Battery took charge from overnight charge. I do not think water got into oil. Please see picture of dipstick, if you can tell. Not sure if there are other things to inspect. Waiting for mechanic to stop by to look at starter and anything else? Guy at repair shop thinks I should try to start.

The oil seems to be the right color. Just make sure you don't have any water around the air intake area as when you start it can get sucked into the engine. But since it has been over a week any water under hood should have evaporated by now.
If you do not see any water under hood or any obvious sign on corrosion you should be able to start it. Just watch is very closely and listen for any odd noise or warning lights. Shut off immediately if something does not seems right.

Let me know how it turned out.

Lastly for today.
Pretty sure I have water in exhaust (2).
My garage entrance ramp is on an incline.
I figure when exiting I will park it on ramp and let it drain for a bit.
Does that sound okay? Repair shop is 2.5 blocks away.

Thanks

Unless you have water completely blocking the exhaust you should be able to start is and leaving on an incline should help.
If the engine starts properly and you are on the incline most of the water will come out of the pipe.

Got car back from inspection. When started check engine light and air bag lite stayed on. Mechanic came up with a $2,000.00 repair bill. Transaxle I believe and some sensors have to be replaced. Waiting for adjuster next week. Car back in garage with only air bag lite on. He opened floor drain plugs and scanned for engine light and that is off.

Anytime you have water damage to a vehicle there could be several item that needs to be replaced.
However they should be only replaced if there is an issue with that given components, not just because you might have gotten water.
See picture below for the transmission dipstick location. The fluid should be checked when the engine is at operating temperature.
Did they give you a written estimate? I am just curious of what they say it will need. Did they actually took a look at the car (put it on a lift or drove it)?

I believe it was put on the lift. Probably not driven. He said he pulled out 4 drain plugs under seats, scanned check engine light and that is off now. He came out with a $2,200.00 estimate.(Not written) I only go to this guy for emergencies because he is close and I can walk there. Had a recent incident where I hit a pothole that blew left front tire. Bought another tire from him and he said left front shock was leaking and both had to be replaced. His price $900.00. Got it done elsewhere for $400.00. He complained that I took work elsewhere!

Only reason I ask about that estimate is you want to be sure the items are getting changed is what needed to be changed, that's. As the car might need all the items that he recommended but you just want to be sure of it. If you dot not have water in the engine or the transmission and you give it enough time to dry. The repair needs might be very minimal.

Well, air filter was dry. Could water have entered engine from oil filter? And bottom of transmission? I will take for short drive and check transmission dipstick.

If you did not have any leak before, then the water won't have any way to get into the engine thru the oil filter or the drain plug. Same goes for the transmission. Only exception maybe if the engine or transmission was completely submerged for an extended period of time. Other than that water wont enter from the bottom.
