Just bought this truck. It has power door locks and windows but, RPO code does not show equipped with Remote keyless entry. Can I add it? If so, how?

Yes, it is possible to add a remote keyless entry system to your truck, even if it was not originally equipped with one. Here are the steps you can take:

Purchase a universal remote keyless entry kit: You can find these kits at most auto parts stores or online. Make sure to choose a kit that is compatible with your vehicle's make and model.

Install the keyless entry control module: The control module is the brain of the system, and it should be installed in a secure location, such as under the dash. Follow the instructions that come with the kit to install the control module.

Install the door lock actuators: The door lock actuators are the components that physically lock and unlock the doors. You will need to install them in each door, typically behind the door panel. Again, follow the instructions that come with the kit to install the actuators.

Connect the wiring: You will need to connect the wiring from the control module to the door lock actuators and power source. Follow the wiring diagram that comes with the kit to ensure that everything is connected correctly.

Program the remote: Once everything is installed and connected, you will need to program the remote to work with your truck. Follow the instructions that come with the kit to program the remote.

Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
