So, I've been watching the lm7 ls 5.3 build you guys have and was wondering if I followed the build all the way which transmission would be best to put behind it the stock 4l60e or something else?

Hey Shane!

Thanks so much for watching the series! To answer your question the 4l60E is a decent option, however there are people on the internet that claim it is not very strong. Personally, I like the 4l60E but I am really gentle on things. So, a stronger but more expensive option is the 4l80E. But do not discount an older transmission. I love the Turbo 350 I put behind our LS and they are pretty cheap with no electrics. You just need a different flex plate.

Best,
Ryan

Awesome man, thank you, I'm putting this engine in my daily driver 03 Silverado so I may go the 4l80e since I'm a little bit more lead footed (: I appreciate the info.
