Our minivan needed a new battery as it was checked by AAA after it shut off after sitting over night a few times and was needing jumps to often. After battery was replaced, the car would no longer turn over.

Lights come on inside but nothing else works, such as the headlights, radio, wipers and power windows and doors.

Have you checked the fuses yet? Sure sounds like a fuse go five blown somewhere along the line.

The AAA tech said he checked the fuses but it was dark and I think he was in a bit of a hurry, but I will have them checked in the morning once more.

As saturntech9 stated earlier, check your fuses especially with a test light to verify the test light lights up. Also make sure the terminals are clean. Had a vehicle a few days ago with same issue. AAA replaced battery and nothing worked. Terminals were so full of corrosion. After we cleaned it the vehicle started fine and everything else worked also.

Ugh, actually just got the call today from the mechanic. Turns out, the guy who changed out the battery didn't put it back in right, nothing was bolted down correctly and the fuse box was super loose. Now I've got a $250 bill for a battery to be installed correctly! I will be seeking full reimbursement from the original "mechanic".
