Push button start switch is stuck on, original key misplaced?

We are trying to obtain a key. The locksmith cannot proceed due to a stuck open push button start switch. We don't know if there is a problem with the push button switch, the key sloth, or something else. Can you assist me with information as to system operation please? Thanks!

The push button can stay stuck down which means the switch needs to be replaced here are the instructions for the job in the images below. Check out the images (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem so we can see what's going on.
