Purge solenoid

I've replaced the purged solenoid 7 times. If I drive the car kinda hard, the solenoid litterally falls apart and that's why I keep replacing it. Its making a clicking sound. I can start the car and it'll run for a few minutes and It starts clicking. It sounds kind of like a sewing machine.

Have it scanned for codes it may be a shorted wire and causing solenoid to wear out. Just because a codes says that doesn't mean it's the solenoid, I tmeans it's the circuit that is screwed up

DIFFERENT FELLER

IS THAT PUPPY IN A SPOT WHERE IT MIGHT GET MEGA HEAT FROM AN EXHAUST MANIFOLD THAT MIGHT BREAK IT DOWN?

IF SO, COULD SOMETHING LIKE A MODIFIED FOIL PIE PAN BE FASHIONED TO DIVERT HEAT AWAY FROM IT?
