Hi, I have a power steering leak on top of the pump from where the reservoir hose attaches to it. I tried cutting the hose and changing the clamp; a worm drive style. It still is getting wet on the front but nowhere else. I noticed the pump looks like there is a gasket between the pump and what I would call a housing extension for the hose nipple that's built into it. I ruled out the high pressure hose because I can see it and it's below the leak.
Thanks. Stay healthy and have a great day.

I am not sure I understand exactly where the leak is so if you can get pictures of this then that will surely help get us on the same page.

However, here is a guide that will help with power steering issues in general:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/power-steering-problems

If you can get pictures that would be helpful but I am thinking the leak is the seal that is on the reservoir and seals the pump. Basically the pumps on these actually come out of the reservoir and they have a seal.

Here is the process from the manual as it may be easier to just replace it if this is the leak. However, can you get some pictures and that will help. Thanks

Thanks the photos help. My question is when looking at the line from the reservoir to the top of the pump (return line) Where the outlet on the pump is. Is there an o-ring or gasket between where the pump and that outlet mate. I can't pull up an exploded view of the pump. Do you maybe have access to one. The dealer doesn't list a seal kit only a pump for $700.00. Not buying it there and can't get clarification. Just want to know before I remove it. I can find an o ring or make a gasket or as you said replace it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks as always. You guys/girls are great!
Enjoy your day.

When you say the return line, are you talking about the rubber line shown below? If so, there would be no o ring for this. That will slide over the nipple on the reservoir and the pump. It is a low pressure line so it most likely doesn't have a clamp either but I would put a screw type clamp on it just to be sure they don't come off.

Otherwise, are you talking about the line that has a threaded end? If so this is the pressure hose and that would have an o-ring.

Can you get some pictures of the hoses that you are looking at if this is not it? Thanks

The nipple on the pump is a separate part from the pump & is matted with an o-ring or gasket. I spoke to a local guy near me who was surprisingly nice. It is a common problem with the XK8 pump amongst others. So yes I will be replacing the pump no seal kit available. They also recommend replacement of the reservoir because it has a filter in it.
Thanks for your help!Enjoy your day.

Great info. Thanks because I was not aware there was a filter in there. Thanks for the update. Please let us know if we can assist in the future.
