I own the car listed above rt 100th anniversary RWD.

I'm having issues with my suspension. so over a course of a month I've replaced everything new. I've come to my issue that my rack and pinion could be out of alignment or damaged within. I'm not sure. Hoping it is something I can fix.I do have play in my rack and pinion. The noise is on the passenger side. Turn left is fine. Then right is tight. If I hit a bump my wheels go right. My rack has no leaks. I posted a video of the noise.

I've installed all new parts.

Bilstien struts front and rear.
New strut tops.
All new control arms.
New inner and outer tie rods.
Lower ball joint.
New wheel bearings.
New links.
New sway bar bushing.
New brake kit.
Everything has been greased.
Alignment.
Same for rear all new adjustable control arms. except for the lower cradle.
Suspension has been torque correctly under the weight of the car.
Thank you

Just to be clear, you were getting that amount of movement and noise by shaking the rack by hand? If so, unfortunately that appears to need replacing. You can rebuild these but I am not sure there are parts available as rebuild kits. The dealers do not rebuild them any more, they just replace them and send them back to be rebuilt and then the supplier sells them as re-manufactured units.

I attached the process for replacement as I am sure that is what you will need.

Let me know if I am missing something but it appears that is the case. Thanks

Correct all by hand. I was hoping for a repair. Would you happen to know if using a Detroit axle rack and pinion is good. It is the same ehps rack and others have reviewed it as good. Or should I stick to a Mopar/re-manufactured?

Thank you

I have not experienced that rack before so I cannot speak to it. I have only ever used Mopar for these vehicles so that is what I would recommend. However, that does not say anything about the Detroit one because I just have not used it. I can only speak to what I have had success with. If others have used it and been happy with it, I would just go off the price. If they are about the same price then I would stick with Mopar if it were me.
