Issues when turning right only and is very intermittent. Feels like the power steering actually gets too much power assist for a split second. It does not get harder to turn it gets too easy for that split second and feels like your going to turn too much. When it happens it happens on the right turn for anywhere between five minutes to thirty minutes then all is okay again until the next time it happens which can be a month or a day or a week.

Thanks

Good afternoon,

The first thing I would do is to flush the power steering fluid.

I would remove the return line to the pump and put it in a five gallon bucket. Then get about one gallon of fluid. Then start the engine and add fluid as the old fluid runs into the bucket until you get clean fluid with no debris.

Then replace the line, add the proper level and run the engine and see if the issue still exists.

If it does, then most likely you have bad steering box.
