Power steering fluid low. Added some to max, drove the car a few miles and power steering goes out. Park it, check and notice it's below low. Fill it and come back a few minute later and it's overflowing out of reservoir. Just replaced reservoir and rack/pinion boots. Power steering pump replaced with I assumed refurbished a couple years back. Not sure if there's a leak or air in the line? Thoughts?

Hello,

It sounds like your power steering fluid was low and you might have added too much power steering fluid to the system. To get air out of your vehicle's power steering system is a pretty easy process. Jack both sides of the front of your vehicle up and place on jack stands, so that both front tires are off the ground. Have a helper start the vehicle and turn the steering wheel slowly from side to side. Watch the power steering reservoir and fluid as needed. System is burped when all bubbles have stopped coming up in the reservoir.

Thanks,
Alex
