Power steering pulley?

With pulley removal tool the pulley came off of the shaft way before it lined up with drive pulley. Can the pulley be flipped around with the offset inward?

No, it can't, usually the pulley is on fully when it is even with the input shaft of the pump. Here are the instructions on how to install the pulley. If the pulley is not installed this way, it can cause damage to the new pump. Check out the images (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Does it make a difference is old pulley was plastic and new is metal?
