When transmission is put into drive it bogs down and power loss

I have replaced my fuel line throttle body the PCV valve and my truck runs fine at an idle, but once I put it in drive it bogs down and has no power. I have the right fuel pressure and it has no exhaust all. It has is the headers.

Good morning.

What motor? Do you have a throttle body or tuned port?

Did you check compression?

How did you set ignition timing?

If you have an automatic transmission, what kind of a torque converter are you running?

I have a 305. Yes, set the timing to zero. Still the stock torque converter and its throttle body.

Did you put the engine in base timing before setting timing?

Did you check the compression? It sounds like either a timing issue or fuel pressure.

Was your fuel pressure between 9-13 lbs?

Procedure:
Set timing under the following conditions:

- Normal operating temperature.
- Air cleaner installed.
- A/C "off"
- Transmission in neutral.
- Disconnect set timing connector. The location of the set timing connector is inside the cab where the heater box and the carpet meet on the passenger side floor. Pull carpet back to expose the single wire and connectors on the outside of the control module harness. The wire colors are tan with a black stripe.
Do not disconnect four wire connector at distributor.

Connect timing light and adjust as necessary by loosening hold down bolt and rotating distributor. For specification, refer to Specifications/timing marks. Tighten hold down and recheck the timing. Stop the engine and connect set timing connector. Clear control module trouble code by disconnecting control module power source. With engine at operating temperature, drive vehicle at part throttle with moderate acceleration and decelerate to idle condition. This will "teach" the control module and return the engine to normal performance.

You want me to drive it with it disconnected and yes it was between 9 13 for fuel pressure and we did that with the control modular.

No, never said to drive it with it disconnected at all. The timing is set in base timing and returns to normal advance after the engine is shut off and restarted.

Again, what about compression?

Are the injectors spraying fuel?

If they are then we are back to timing.

Also, if you have open headers, what size collectors are you using?
