Possible engine damage

Jiffy Lube drained engine oil(6qts) and for some reason put 2 qts of auto Trans fluid in motor. Drove 106 miles then motor started knocking bad. They flushed engine, replaced filter & added 6 qts of correct oil. Slight intermittent knock. When I get to shop knocking stops. Up till this always serviced at dealer. Jiffy Lube gave me a 2 yr/ 24k mile warranty on motor. What damage is done and is this warranty ok? Never had any issue w/ truck. Expecting long life but concerned life if motor is greatly reduced.

You definitely did some damage. I would expect that you took off 50% or more of that engines potential life.

The warranty seems reasonable, it is plenty of miles if there were any damage to vehicle made it will definitely occur before then. It had just thinned your oil making the engine knock. How many miles have you drove it since they changed the oil again

Sorry. Should have been more clear. They ONLY out 2 qts of auto trans fluid. No motor oil. Employee came to location and had to add 4 qts oil to get to full mark. At their shop they told me there was only 2 qts of auto Trans oil put in.

Nothing in his question states there was anything but 2 quarts of trans fluid in the crankcase. There is no question that life was taken off those bearings. 2 years isn't going to be enough to reflect the lost potential in that engine.
