Possible BCM problem

Starting in 2011 the pickup would not start, wait (panic) about ten minutes it would start, all was well. Happened about every six months. Then five months, four, three, by January 2016 it was every day and the wait was eighteen to twenty seven minutes or longer. I went online and found a site that showed the wire to cut to stop this. Apparently it was the "pass lock" or what ever they call the anti theft.
July 2016, driving to work my air conditioner stops working. I noticed that the water gauge was not working either. Around this time I noticed that the warning bell when you leave the keys with the door open wasn't working. Like the week before the A/C stopped working I had messed around with the trip meter and got it to work, it had never worked before.
I had to have the radiator replaced in May 2016.
I had doctor appointments in a town eighty miles from home all summer long, I would drive there, drive around town, then my water gauge would start working. When my water gauge works my A/C works! So mostly I did without A/C all summer and by the way I live in a desert. Luckily winter was mild cause I am fairly certain my heater was not working either but not positive.
So fast forward to March 2017, driving home, cruise control stops working. Next morning was working again. The first week of May, a couple of times when it shifted from first to second it was kind of violent so I slowed down and let it change real slow and everything was fine, then May ninth driving home from city eighty miles from home the cruise control went off again. Since then it shifts from first to second real easy (it is hardly noticeable) from second to third (again hardly noticeable) but it never leaves third to overdrive. At seventy mph my rpm is over 3000 which does not seem normal. If I remember correctly it is usually around 2000. And I am not even sure it has overdrive.
This pickup is a plain Jane, no bells and whistles model.
I took it to a mechanic, well that was a bust, so I was talking about it one day and a man overheard me and mentioned he had the same symptoms on his Oldsmobile and it was the BCM. So I guess.

You need to have it scanned for codes and get back to us with the code numbers so that we can better assist you. Body modules can only be programmed by a dealer so have it scanned for codes and see what the problem is if any.

It may be something like a ground problem from battery to body or engine and should be physically checked by a mechanic.
