HI MY PORSCHE 944 1987 AUTOMATIC ITS GOING CRAZY WHEN I STEP ON THE GAS IT SPEEDS UP I CAN HERE IT BUT I DONT FEEL THE CAR SPEEDING UP AND THEN IT KICKS IN WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM PLEASE HELP

Hi there,
Check that the kick down cable is not broken or over tight, the cable is the same as the throttle cable, they often brake at the throttle butterfly this will cause engine response but shift problems, also check trans oil level, (there is a level indicator on the rear of the transmission, this must be done with the trans warm & with the engine idling in park. Low oil level will cause flairing ( this sounds like whats happening to you) finaly Have the transmission pressure tested there may be an internal mechanical fault.
