Engine Performance problem
1999 Pontiac Sunfire 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive

Check engine light sets the following 3 codes:
0141 -O2 sensor heater circuit malfunction (bank1, sensor2 )
0171 -System too lean Bank 1
0300 -Random misfire

What should I look at first here. Presumably the o2 snsor is OK but the heater circuit isn't? Or would that also mean a bad o2 sensor?
Is it fair to think that once the o2 problem in the 0141 code is looked after, then the problem may be fixed & finally what component houses this heater circuit?
Thanks in advance for any feed back.

Have you looked at the o2 sensors on your vehicle? The front sensor shows to be a one wire sensor, not heated, that sensor can have an effect on fuel control.

The rear sensor shows to be a heated sensor, four wires, I believe that sensor is a catalyst efficiency monitor, I don't believe it could cause the p0300 code.

If you want to trouble shoot the heater circuit, the wires are brown and black, check for B+ and ground.
