Well the car was fine till it started making noise ans jerking. It acted like it was going to die on us at lights and stop signs. We changed the time and chain, put it back in time, double check that twice. We changed the oil and air filters, and oil. We changed the plugs, and boots. We also changed the inl-line fuel filter. We checked to make sure that the catillic convertor wasn't stopped up. We also checked the cool pack to make sure it was firing. We also checked to make sure it wasn't a vacum leak. After all this work, it still misses really bad and tries to quit on you. We drove it to town, about 1 mile or less, and know it won't even start. I hate this motor and am out of ideas to fix it.

Cranks but no start

Get a helper disconnect a sparkplug wire or 2 and ground it to the engine at least 3/16 away from ground -have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel related problem, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter/fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs, coil's resistances, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors and computer Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it.
