We are looking to buy a used pontiac sunfire but the owner says the transmission needs replaced and that is the only thing wrong with it. So I was wondering what it would cost to get this problem fixed if we bought a new transmission or if we could find a good used one?

Look for a good used one. A new one is worth more than the car. As far as having yours rebuilt, expect to pay aprox. 2000.00.
