1997 Pontiac Sunfire anti theft

Anti theft light comes on and shuts engine down. Only does it once in awhile. After it sits for awhile it will usually start and run ok, until the next time.

The immobilizer on that vehicle is stalling the vehicle. You may just need to re-learn the key or it may be something a bit more serious. I would suggest bringing it to a shop so they can properly diagnose it before you replacement of items.
