I got a 1995 Pontiac Sunfire with 4 cylinder 2.2L engine. Here for about a couple of weeks there's been some severe hesitaion everytime I tried to take off. (WORSE when the engine is at normal temp) Soo for I've looked at the TPS I've took a part the intake and cleaned it, Checked all vaccum lines, changed the fuel filter and ran a fuel pressure test (40 PSI it tested) unpluged the O2 sensor and made no differance, and Changed out the EGR Valve, put seafoam into the gas. I'm outta options and I don't know where else to look for this hesitaion. Any ideas would be awsome. Thanks Joe

Any applicable trouble codes? Did you check the wiring circuits for the tps? Correct fuel pressure? You don't have a clogged exhaust?

I did. I looked at all the sensor's and the only trouble codes that came up was about the safety switch on the transmission. I did some playing around today and got some backfire in the intake around the air filter. I did some looking around on the internet and the thing I found was something to do with the Timing but my car has a timing chain and its computer controlled.
